The Arts Programme starts in the Nursery Years with a fully immersive approach and runs through the Primary and Secondary Years Programme. Students have opportunities to exhibit and develop their collaboration and performance techniques within small and large group settings.

While we believe it is essential for students to complete study across the three Arts subjects, and aim to ensure that our students develop strong foundations in Visual Arts, Music and Theatre by increasing the amount of time spent on each Arts subject.

In Grades 6, 7 and 8, the Arts subjects are offered on an elective rotation. Students study two different Arts subjects per year (one subject per semester). Each semester, they have an opportunity to explore different Arts subjects, build a strong foundation in their preferred art medium, and develop their creative and analytical skills.

From Grade 9 onwards, the Arts subjects are offered as elective courses. Students will specialise in one Arts subject for the whole duration of their studies in Grades 9 and 10, based on their personal strengths and interests. The programme is designed to prepare students for overall success at the Diploma level through using concepts and contexts, developing creativity, subject-specific skills and ATL skills.
