Kristine Kirby is an experienced international educator and librarian with over two decades of experience supporting students’ reading, writing, and research skills.

She has worked in international schools across Canada, the UK, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, supporting diverse and multilingual learners. Kristine was recognised as UAE School Librarian of the Year in 2022 for her leadership in promoting literacy, building strong reading cultures, and fostering a love of books within school communities.

She is also a parent of two children and understands how reading not only strengthens literacy skills but also supports children’s emotional wellbeing and sense of connection.

Leslie Tam
Hilda Netten brings over 15 years of experience supporting students across diverse ages and cultural backgrounds. As the EYPY School Counsellor at XWA, she is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment where young learners can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Hilda is committed to nurturing a strong sense of belonging and wellbeing for every student and considers it a privilege to guide children as they develop into thoughtful, capable, and caring individuals.

Outside of school, Hilda enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and their dog—exploring new places, staying active, and embracing adventure.
